NON-AIDS TYPE NECROTIZING ULCERATIVEPERIODONTITIS<br />Occurs after repeated long-term episodes of NUG.<br />Necrosis and ulcerationof the coronal portion of the interdental papillae and/or gingival margin.<br />Painful, bright-red marginal gingiva.<br />Bleeding on even slight manipulation .<br />Mouth malodor (halitosis) .<br />Systemic manifestations including fever, malaise, and lymphadenopathy<br />

AIDS-ASSOCIATED NECROTIZINGULCERATIVE PERIODONTITIS<br />The prevalence of these illnesses may be up to 5%.<br />Large areas of soft tissue necrosis.<br />Exposure of bone.<br />Sequestration of bone fragments which sometimes extend to the vestibular area and/or the palate<br />Bone loss associated with HIV-positive NUP may be extremely rapid.<br />Greater numbers of the opportunistic infection <br />
