Editor's Notes

  1. The Microsoft Power Platform has 3 core cloud-first platform components namely PowerApps, Power BI and Microsoft Flow all of which come together to help you quickly build applications, that tightly integrate with your data and existing business processes. And all of this is powered by Azure which allows for a no-cliffs experience that we at Microsoft are bringing to you as partners – build something incredibly simple or go all the way by extending to Azure all within the context of the Microsoft Power Platform. With PowerApps you can embark on rapid application development, build business process automation and workflows on top of your data and applications using Microsoft Flow and with Power BI you can generate Insights and Intelligence on top of the data that powers your business The unique aspect of the Microsoft Power Platform is the tight integration that exists with Dynamics 365, Office 365 and the standalone business apps that you create. All of these come together through the Common Data Service for Apps which supports a well defined and consistent scheme (the Common Data Model) to describe your business data and business objects Lastly, the platform supports data connectors and data integration capabilities so that you can easily reach data that is not natively in the Common Data Service – think SAP, Workday. Salesforce The uniqueness of the Microsoft Power Platform lies in the ability to bring these three core assets together and unlock limitless opportunities for partners to build experiences for their end customers.
  2. PowerApps today is already natively integrated directly into Sharepoints Modern List experience. it will automatically generate a three screen mobile apps for that sharepoint list, you can share with your co workers as easily as an office document. The app itself runs on all mobile platforms as well as the web. As you heard in James Philips’ keynote companies like GJ Pepsi or Seneca are using those capabilities to build amazing mobile apps that really helped transform their business and directly integrate Sharepoint and office into processes that so far were manual and paper based. All from within the business and having the people who own the process able to refine the apps as the process gets refined.
