  3. 3. Results30 (Yes or No Questions)2520151050 Yes No Was the 5 Do you think theDo you think the Would you buy After watching minutes music was expert the magazine on the radio trailer documentary appropriate for interviews the basis of the would you be was interesting the message? helped article inclined to want enough to make reinforced the to watch the you want to severity of cyber documentary? watch the rest bullying? of the documentary
  4. 4. Audience feedback results(would people watch the rest of the documentary after watching the first five minutes?)The results show that majority of the people questioned saidafter watching the first five minutes of the documentary thatthey would watch the full documentary. This shows that the opening five minutes of the documentarywas good and it was detailed enough and portaged in a goodenough way the to the viewer to make them interested in thetopic and make them want to watch the rest of thedocumentary. Some people questioned said that the documentary couldhave gave more facts at the start of the documentary. They felt if more facts had been added to the ones that werealready there it would have made it better for them becausethen they would have fully been able to see the seriousnessof the issue more than what they did
  5. 5. What people liked about the documentaryA lot of the people questioned said there favourite part of thedocumentary was the vox pops and the interview of the cyber bullyvictim.I think this is because they felt it gave the documentary more arealistic feeling to it because it showed a victim voicing his opinion onhis experiences of cyber bullying. This showed the viewers theseriousness of the issue and what the effects can be.I think the viewers seemed to like the vox pops interviews becausesimilar the victim interview it showed the opinions of many peopleand how they thought cyber bullying could be dealt with and gavetheir experiences if they was any.
  6. 6. What people didnt like about the documentaryA couple of people said that they didnt like the way how thedocumentary gave little facts about cyber bullying andthought more facts were needed. They also said after the facts instead of starting thedocumentary with voxpops that the documentary could havestarted with an expert interview to se the topic more.
  7. 7. Background musicPeople thought that the background music wasntappropriate for the topic of cyber bullying. Theythought that the music didnt overpower thevoices on the documentary or distract them fromthe documentary.I agree with the comments because I think themusic was appropriate and fitted thedocumentary because it was a calm instrumentalin the background so it didnt really affect thefootage in the documentary.
  8. 8. Expert interviewsPeople thought the expert interviews were good because they were very factual sothey gave a viewer who knew little about cyber bullying some common facts thatwould make them realise that cyber bullying should be treated as a serious issueand should not be ignored.I agree with this because the expert interviews were decided by the group and alot of time went into deciding who we should interview and who would be themost effective person to interview that could give a different insight on cyberbullying. I think the interview with Paul Ashdown (the Solihull Sixth Form Principal)was the best expert interview because he is someone who is knowledgeable in thearea of cyber bullying and gave his experience student that have been cyber bulliedand how it could be prevented.
  9. 9. Magazine listing (double page spreadPeople said they liked the use of colours, images and texts used onthe magazine. However the said the layout was simple and thequality didnt really match the standard of the documentary andthought it didnt really look professional. The people questioned said they would watch the documentaryafter seeing the double page spread because it was eye catchingand the images and logos looked interesting.I agree with the comments about the documentary and think it wasnot as good as the documentary. I think the main reason for thiswas due to the lack of planning the group did and leaving it too latebefore the deadline to start making the double page spread. If moretime was spent planning the double page spread and looking at realdouble page spreads from TV magazine I think the quality of thedocumentary would have been much better than what it wasbecause more codes and conventions would have been used.
  10. 10. Radio trailerMajority of people liked the radio trailer, they like how there wasvoices from the actual documentary in the radio trailer what madeit sound interesting .Some People did not like the background music used in the radiotrailer they said the music was overpowering and it meant that theywasnt able to hear some parts of trailer. They though that a calmerbackground instrumental would have been better. All peoplequestioned did say they would watch the documentary afterhearing the radio trailer. This shows that the radio trailer was good enough to want thelistener to watch the documentary so there was good things aboutthe radio trailer.I agree that a more suitable background song could have been usedfor the radio trailer which would have made it clearer and moreeasier to listen to.
  11. 11. ConclusionI think the audience feedback showed that the peoplelike all three of the media products and the commentswere predominantly positive.I was not surprised by the negative comments, becauseI think the group could have spent more time planningand looking at real media products, which would havemade ours better.I think as a whole the audience feedback shows theyresponded how the group thought they would and thatthere was a few things we could have done better butenough was done to still make the media productsgood.
