It is the historic valley where Ishmael and Hagar immigrated to being the first to settle in that area. • In Hebrew Faran - simply means ‘the 2 who fled’. • In Arabic Fârân - is the Duel form of the root- ‘Farra’, meaning: ‘two person that run away’ referring to Hagar & Ishmael just as it is in Bible Terminology

  36. 36.  The Hebrew Bible Shir Hashirim - Song of Songs Chapter 5, Verse 16 “Hikko mamtakeem, v'hulo Mahammadim, ze Dodee v'ze ra‘ee, bano Yarushalaym" Hebrew Transliteration Hebrew Text *Mahammadim - The “m” in Hebrew linguistically indicates plural of respect and royalty. Its addition to a word expresses Nobility and Grandeur. ex: “Alahim”= God the Glorious. So Mahammadim means: [Mahammad the Great or Noble] *Dodee – translated as „beloved‟, but in Hebrew it actually means Paternal Uncle- (father’s brother); translated as such at least five times in Bible in other places. Therefore ‘Dodee’ means: [He is of Israel‟s (Jacob‟s) Paternal Uncle]
