  2. 2. A neurologist Franz Anton Mesmer was the so-calledauthor of the "classical hypnosis". He put forwardthe theory in which he assumed the existence ofequally real and financial vibrations, as e.g. actingof magnet. According to Mesmer charity magneticvibrations can transfer themselves from one personto second, whereas the psychotherapist can triggerrising tides or outflows of the "liquid make-up".After creating "bridge" between thepsychotherapist and the patient and after theperformance shorter or longer touch contemporaryfor Mesmer the hypnotherapist led to the healingturning point.

  4. 4. The hypnosis is being called the different condition of the awareness, tiedtogether with the greater susceptibility of the mind to the suggestion. It issubsidiarly used in medicine and psychology. It is being used both in the clinicalpractice, and in diagnosing. For its therapeutic values are noticed by a certaingroup of scientists, the clinical and experimental research on hypnotic phenomenais being conducted in many countries.Yet it is still hard to precisely define the phenomenon of the hypnosis.Although its name derives from the Greek (hipnos) and means: dream - doesnt seemto have a lot in common with a real dream, nor - often compared to it - meditation.It is so since it isnt combining with the peculiar bioelectric frequency of the brain.During the hypnosis, diversified waves are appearing: delta, theta, alpha not to say(in the active hypnosis) beta. The hypnosis is tied with the state of the deeprelaxation, but states close to it appear also in the course of everyday activities,such as the work or the concentration.Most important while conducting the radical reform a mutual confidence is infavour of the help of the hypnosis between the hypnotist and the patient.It can be a cause for which the view that the hypnosis is a result of thespecific relation between the psychotherapist and the patient, that isanswers to a question are dominating, what is actually, one should expect onthe part of led psychologists research works.

Who can be hypnotized?Everyone, who wants it, except for retarded people and mutechildren, since they dont understand, what the hypnotist watns todo and arent able to concentrate on their voice. People who at firstare reacting with the shallower trance are able to deepen it afterthird time they are in the state of the hypnosis.

The hypnotized person behaves in the peculiar way,although there is no agreement whether these behavioursare appearing only during the hypnosis.The following behaviours can accompany the hypnosis:- catalepsy (the muscle tension, immobilizing or stiffeningthe behaviour);- dismissal of psychophysiological reactions e.g. of thepulse, the respiration, licking, or the heartbeat;- concentrating the eyesight;- changes of the voice;- slow moves;- ideomotor replies (moves of limbs which the person underhypnosis is unaware of and can’t control).
