3. A long time ago, in a small village near
Paphos,lived 3 beautiful sisters.Their parents
were happy because they had such beautiful
and good girls.But the third daughter,was twice
as good and beautiful as the others.Her name
was Arodaphnousa.
4. Once,young Arodaphnousa saw the young
King as he was passing by.He was riding his
horse.He was handsome with long blond
hair.When he saw her he became speechless.It
was love at first sight.Some months passed
and King asked her to live in the palace as the
Queen’s helper.She was more than happy
beacause she would get closer to the King.
5. At first all were going well,until King’s wife(the
queen) found out about their secret love.Right
at that time the King left the palace for a long
and difficult journey.The Queen,tortured and hit
Arodafnousa and made her life a living
hell.Arodaphnousa,stood strong because of her
love for the King.The queen,locked her in a
small church far away...
6. Some years passed,the King returned from his
journey,and he randomly found his
love,Arodafnousa in a really bad situation.She
was barely alive.He stayed with her untill her
last breath...Arodafnousa,said:Our love was
bitter,like Arodafne ...Then she died.
