Ashoka UW Greater Nashua Dell Social Innovation Competition: Share your solutions to UW North Central MA social problems. The Cambridge-based Venture will collaborate with the InterAmerican Development Bank and the Nicaragua Deaf Association to set up an XO laptop lab for deaf students. Check out the Hello Laptop website for more details. Congratulations to the Keystone Club of Pearl St. Boys & Girls Club in Framingham, MA. In partnership with United Way of Tri-County, the new team, Keystone Cafe, plans to provide nutritious snacks at an affordable price to club attendees and staff. Pictured: Keystone Cafe at Panel Six new Venture Teams have launched in Leominster, MA through the partnership with the United Way of North Central Massachusetts and Mount Wachusett Community College's Center for Democracy & Humanity. Over 60 youth from 10 different after school agencies in the Greater Boston area and 20 volunteers from the United Way Emerging Leaders group gathered for the United Way Youth Venture Selection Panel on December 12th. Twelve teams launched as a result of the panel with ideas ranging from improving nutrition to sexual education. Join Youth Venture for MLK Day of Service On January, 18, 2010, Americans across the nation will come together for a day of service in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Volunteer on the 2010 MLK Day of Service and make a real difference in your community. Founded in 2002, the partnership currently serves over 1,000 students in 12 schools in Fitchburg, Leominster, Shirley, Ayer and Winchendon. "This federal funding makes it possible for more students to participate, with the goal of reaching 20 percent of all students in the region within three years," said U.S. Rep. John W.
