Definition of COMPUTER The origin of the word computer is taken from LATIN word “ computare ”, meaning “ to calculate ” .So , according to this defintion , computer is a machine which can perform calculations at a very high speed . In other words, computer is an ELECTRONIC device which converts raw data into meaningful information. A computer is an electro mechanical device which- Accepts data Stores and processes the data Gives out meaningful information at a very high speed with accuracy.
  2. 2. Block Diagram of a COMPUTER All computer systems ,no matter how small or large , have the same fundamental capabilities: processing , storage ,Input and output . Input unit includes devices like keyboard and mouse , which are used by the user to give some data to the computer .
