  1. 1. Tropical rainforests are usually found nearthe equator, there are three different typesof tropical rainforests there is theMonsoon, the Equatorial and theSubtropical rainforests. The average rainfallis between 1500 to 2500mm, in daytime thetemperature is 30C – 35C at night it drops to20C-25C.

  3. 3. Temperate rainforests are usuallyfound near the coast in temperateareas of the sea. The temperaterainforests range from 22C-29C. Italso rains 80% of the year.
  4. 4. sloth The sloth is the worlds slowestmammal, they are so slow that algae grows on their coat. Sloths areherbivores eating leaves, shoots andfruit, a sloths back legs are found to be useless.
  5. 5. Siberian tiger Siberian tigers lives in east Russian rainforests and Asian rainforests, their diet consists of elk and wild boar.Siberian tigers are endangered, there is estimated to be 400 to 500 left in the wild.
  6. 6. Toucan A Toucan lives in the trees of therainforest it mainly eats fruit, insects,lizards, small birds and eggs. Toucans use their beaks for self defence against other predators
  7. 7. .Coconut trees are found in mostrainforests and grow from 50-80 feet, they can produce up to 50 coconuts.
  8. 8. Giant bamboo is found mostlyfound in the Asian rainforest, can actually grow nine inches a day.
  9. 9. The strangler fig plays a majorpart in a rainforest most birdseat the figs from this tree, the birds also live on the tree.
