  2. 2. The Australian Savanna is in two very differentseasons: the "wet" and the "dry". The dry seasonlasts 5 to 6 months, usually from May to October. The wet season lasts 5 to 6 months and lasts fromDecember to March. The Australian tropicalsavanna is found along the north coast ofAustralia at a range of 10° to 20° South.
  3. 3. Usually only grass grows in the savanna, withsome scattered trees. If there was no dry season, trees would populate the savanna. Trees do notdensely populate them since they need too muchwater. Because in the dry season it doesnt rain, trees can only grow in the wet season.
  4. 4. To survive the dry season, plants have grownlong roots to suck all the moisture out of theground. They grow thick bark to protectthemselves from fires. Their trunks can storewater, and the leaves that drop off during the dryseason to hold water.
  5. 5. Australia:Australian savanna is called the bush it has lots oftrees and wildlife because it is a tropical savanna.Africa:The savanna covers 2 fifth of Africa from 15 ° Celsiusnorth and 30 ° Celsius south. The savanna coversGuinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Cote Divore, Ghana,Togo, Benin, Nigeria,, Central African Republic,,Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the DemocraticRepublic of the Congo, Chad, Angola, Uganda,Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Camaroon,Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique andBotswana

It isthe by far the fastest animal alive at average running up to20 kilometres and in short bursts can cover 500 metres ifground it has the ability to run from 0 km to 100 km inthree seconds. They can leap up into trees but can notclimb vertical trees it has semi-retractable claws that helpwith prowling and sneaking up on its prey www.freeimages.co.uk
