Leading Source: Colonial First State Global Asset Management Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, Browns Plains, QLD <ul><li>1 st shopping centre in the country to achieve a NABERS Energy and Water rating </li></ul><ul><li>The centre achieved 3 star ratings for Energy and Water </li></ul><ul><li>Water-efficiency features include air-conditioning condensate water harvesting and tanks to harvest water for reuse in amenities, sub-metering for high consumption areas and base building water meter monitoring equipment. </li></ul><ul><li>Assisting to strategically target future operational efficiency improvements </li></ul>

Innovating <ul><li>In July of 2008 the Centre modified the condensate drainage from 8 of the 14 Air Handling Units to allow for the capture and redirection of the air-conditioning condensate into the centres existing rainwater storage tanks </li></ul><ul><li>The harvested water within these tanks is then utilized for the flushing of the centres toilets and cooling towers </li></ul><ul><li>875 KL per annum the equivalent of 6481 Bathtubs full of water </li></ul><ul><li>The quantity of condensate captured was enough to flush a single toilet 218 000 times over the course of the year </li></ul>
