Data and Information Doctors and Clinicians Tools and Technology 70% of healthcare provider organizations use mobile devices to access electronic medical records,5 but implementation and usability are a challenge. 15% of healthcare organizations have data and analytics skills gaps.2 80% of data in a healthcare facility consists of rich, unstructured data that has only been leveraged using labor-intensive processes, or not leveraged at all.3 37% of data exists in unstandardized silos.2 The amount of data is overwhelming and it comes in numerous formats, lacking standardization and structure. Selecting the right electronic health records (EHR) system can be even more troublesome. There’s an abundance of information for patients and clinicians to leverage, but gaining access has proven problematic for all parties.
