  16. 16. Prayer of Confession Lavon Baylor We confess, O God, that we are not eager to wrestle with you or to take responsibility for sin in our lives. We see ourselves as basically decent, respectable people.
  17. 17. Yet we have bent your commandments to our own conveniences. We listen only to the word we want to hear. We participate in the greed that is destroying your good earth, and we allow evil to triumph through our neglect.
  18. 18. Shake us into awareness that brings change, and support us, we pray, on the difficult path toward greater faithfulness. Amen.
  19. 19. Assurance of Forgiveness Lavon Baylor Our self-disclosing God proclaims: “I will forgive your iniquity and remember your sin no more. I will be your God and you will be my people. I will put my law within you; I will write it on your hearts.” Give thanks for the new life God offers, attuned to eternal values.
  20. 20. Prayer of the Day O Lord God, tireless guardian of your people, you are always ready to hear our cries. Teach us to rely day and night on your care. Inspire us to seek your enduring justice for all this suffering world, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

  140. 140. Gospel Song All Are Welcome Hymn #641 ELW
  141. 141. Let us build a house where love can dwell and all can safely live, a place where saints and children tell how hearts learn to forgive. Built of hopes and dreams and visions, rock of faith and vault of grace; here the love of Christ shall end divisions
  142. 142. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
  143. 143. Let us build a house where prophets speak, and words are strong and true, where all God's children dare to seek to dream God's reign anew. Here the cross shall stand as witness and as symbol of God's grace; here as one we claim the faith of Jesus:
  144. 144. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
  145. 145. Let us build a house where love is found in water, wine and wheat: a banquet hall on holy ground where peace and justice meet. Here the love of God through Jesus, is revealed in time and space; as we share in Christ the feast that frees us
  146. 146. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
  147. 147. Let us build a house where hands will reach beyond the wood and stone to heal and strengthen, serve and teach, and live the Word they've known. Here the outcast and the stranger bear the image of God's face; let us bring an end to fear and danger:
  148. 148. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
  149. 149. Let us build a house where all are named, their songs and visions heard and loved and treasured, taught and claimed as words within the Word. Built of tears and cries and laughter, prayers of faith and songs of grace, let this house proclaim from floor to rafter:
  150. 150. All are welcome, all are welcome, all are welcome in this place.
  151. 151. Blessing and Benediction
  152. 152. Lead On, O King Eternal! #805 ELW
  153. 153. Lead on, O King eternal! The day of march has come; henceforth in fields of conquest your tents will be our home. Through days of preparation your grace has made us strong; and now, O King eternal, we lift our battle song.
  154. 154. Lead on, O King eternal, till sin's fierce war shall cease, and holiness shall whisper the sweet amen of peace; for not with swords loud clashing, nor roll of stirring drums, but deeds of love and mercy the heav'nly kingdom comes.
  155. 155. Lead on, O King eternal: we follow, not with fears, for gladness breaks like morning where'er your face appears. Your cross is lifted o'er us; we journey in its light; the crown awaits the conquest; lead on, O God of might! Amen
