  • As a first-time entrepreneur, officially beginning in 2001, I knew that I would not have the money to cover overhead and hire employees. Therefore, I began as a homebased entrepreneur, who provides onsite and in-home academic therapy services for pediatric clients with identified and unidentified learning disabilities and/or ADHD. Since first beginning this service, I have developed a comprehensive, specialized, and personalized community-based program that would provide needed services and opportunities for these types of clients and others. However, I knew that due to the size of the project, I would not be able to launch this vision by myself. After over 25 years of searching and asking for help from my community, I finally secured an organization that has shown serious and genuine interest in my vision. Although we are in the fledgling stage of development, my vision is finally going to be birthed. I have learned that first you must believe strongly enough in your vision to take one more chance and be willing to persevere and continue casting your net until you locate like-minded people who share your passion. Along the way, I have also learned that while others may not see what you see and believe like you, as long as you do and are willing to stay the course, sooner or later your request for help will be answered. So my advice to others is to never give up - keep asking for help until finally you are heard and assistance is provided.

  • I've heard Zhema Muzyka's story before and it continues to be an inspiration. I've noticed this pattern of women in particular who needed to find a solution to help their family or child. It is the love that motivates and move desperation into another level of creativity. I recovered from a 15 year health ordeal myself. I created a whole new way to think about health which I followed to help me recover but it was my son who was also sick with the same illness that motivated me the most through the challenges it was my love for him to pushed me forward. It is interesting to see this in many women who use their creativity at a whole new level out of love for their child or family. Amazing what love can do!
