BACKGROUND
• Phillip Section 9 was identified on the ACT
Governments Indicative Land Release Program
• LDA first presented the Furzer Street project to the
WVCC in 2011.
• 1st EDP DA lodged and public consultation
undertaken May 2012.
• 2nd EDP lodged and public consultation
undertaken September 2013.
• Section 3 released and sold at auction (including
the requirement for replacement car parking)
• SKYPARK scheduled to open in April 2015.

CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
• LDA released a RFT for the civil and landscape works
• Canberra Contractors are the successful tenderer
• Construction commences March/April 2015
• Section 9 car park will be closed to the public shortly
after the structured car park on Section 3 is operational
• Stage 1 – Intersection Upgrades
• Stage 2 – Civil works associated with infrastructure
and realignment of Corinna Street
• Stage 3 – Landscape and park work
• Potential for some weekend and/or night work
