WI Natural Gas for Transportation Roundtable • Stakeholder initiative created by the State Energy Office, WI Clean Cities and an advisory group of businesses from across the state to provide information and identify opportunities to expand the use of: - Compressed Natural Gas (CNG - Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) - Biogas • Roundtable Objectives: - Expand Natural Gas Vehicle Infrastructure - Address Natural Gas Vehicle Availability - Identify Barriers and Policy Issues - Provide Education and Outreach - Coordinate natural gas regulatory efforts among state agencies - Promote Wisconsin as a leader in the use of Natural Gas www.stateenergyoffice.wi.gov

  5. 5. • Beginning in January 2016, trucks running on liquefied natural gas (LNG) will pay federal highway taxes of 24.3 cents per diesel gallon equivalent, compared current tax of 41.3 cents. • Federal highway tax changed based on energy of the fuel rather than volume • Results in significant per gallon equivalent cost savings for fleets. www.stateenergyoffice.wi.gov LNG - Federal Tax Update

Wisconsin Clean Cities • 80% increase over 2013 Displaced over 21 Million Gasoline Gallon Equivalents • An increase of over 12,000 Tons compared to 2013 Greenhouse gas reduction of over 70,000 Tons • Program partners across the state • www.wismartfleet.org Continue to develop the Wisconsin Smart Fleet Program
