Introduction
Peru Flying Labs (UAV del Perú) started more than seven years ago, as one of the
early initiatives of WeRobotics.org with the following mission :
To accelerate the positive impact of humanitarian, health, development
and environmental solutions locally. Peru Flying Labs also expand local
markets by creating new jobs and synergy with local businesses that offer
robotics as a service and support local ecosystem.

• We are certified in ISOs 9001, 14001, 45001 and most importantly, we form a
team of diverse professionals of which we are very proud.
• Having new technologies ( i.e Lidar technology) has been a very important
acquisition for Peru Flying Labs / UAV del Peru .
• Delivering information in real time for the early detection of threats in the
area of ​​deforestation and illegal mining, has been one of our achievements in
2020.
• We work close to the government to identify the possible and realistic uses of
drones in light of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

6. COVID-19 Response
The Power of Local
The COVID-19 crisis reached Peru in early March
Mandatory quarantine was ordered for all citizens
People did not want to stay at home
In early April, the COVID-19 infected curve continued to grow dramatically
The areas with the highest concentration of people were the markets, on Mondays and Saturdays
The authorities requested support to carry out surveillance in three of the main markets in Lima
For two days in April, we used long-range drones to record and broadcast the status of these places
live, the results obtained from the collected data were three:
A video summary of the flights
An orthomosaic from the district of “La Victoria”
An AI analysis of the markets area to estimate the number of people in each location
This COVID-19 pandemic put us to the test, as individuals and as a team.

7. COVID-19 Response
The Power of Local
Peru Flying Labs in the face of this health emergency situation, caused by Covid-19 contributed to
the Peruvian government by providing surveillance and control service, with its unmanned aircraft,
flying over the skies of Lima, transmitting the information obtained in real time, and processing the
data captured by the different cameras on board their drones.

On November 12, 13 and 14, the first Ibero-American Drones Conference 2020 IDC was held, and it has been
by far the largest and most important Latin American aeronautics and artificial intelligence event applied to
drones and aimed at the Spanish-speaking public and Portuguese.
First event in the history of its kind, developed entirely online. 153 exhibitors, 83 presentations, more than 700
participants.
Among the most relevant topics we can highlight:

The main corporate achievement has been helping the
government identify the realistic and practical uses of the Drone
technology in the Covid-19 Pandemic, with the help of our
expertise on the Drone industry and our knowledge of AI tools .
Another important consideration is to keep maintaining a high
level of Safety of operations (0% accidents on 2020 )
