Set up the Kindle Cloud Reader for Chrome

  1. 1. How to set up the Kindle Cloud Reader on Google Chrome<br />
  2. 2. Kindle Cloud Reader only works on Google Chrome or Safari. Using Chrome, go to http://read.amazon.com. Enter your email address. If you already have an Amazon account, enter your password; if not, select I am a new customer.<br />
  3. 3. To allow reading eBooks while not online, select “Enable Offline”.<br />
  4. 4. Select “Continue”.<br />
  5. 5. Select “Install”.<br />
  6. 6. Chrome will open a new tab. Cloud Reader will be in your list of apps. Click it to open.<br />
  7. 7. 5) Click “Get Started Now”<br />
  8. 8. 6) You’ll see the Amazon/Kindle books you have purchased or borrowed. (You might need to refresh your Library in the upper left corner.)<br />
  9. 9. 7) Right click a book cover for options. To enable reading while not connected to the Internet, click “Download and Pin Book.”<br />
  10. 10. 8) Toggle between Cloud (online) books and ones you’ve Downloaded/Pinned.<br />
  11. 11. 9) Use the slider to make the cover images larger or smaller.<br />
  12. 12. 10) Toggle between “list” view and “grid” view, and adjust the sorting criteria: by author, title, or recent (when the titles were acquired).<br />
