  1. 1. HISTORY GLADIATORS Use your mouse to navigate through different pages. Press esc to exit QUESTIONS
  2. 2. TITLE The Colosseum (also known as the Flavian amphiteatre) was ordered to be built by Emperor Flavius but he never saw it completed because it took over 100 years! When he ordered for it to be built he was in a bit of a dilema because there where only 2 suitable places for it to be built. One already had a temple to Jupiter and another was under a lake. In a historical feat they drained the water of the lake into a artificial lake waiting nearby. Later on after it was finished Gauls invaded and destroyed some of the Colosseum thus stopping the games once and for all. An earthquake destroyed another part of it.
