  1. 1. Wellesley Public Schools Superintendent’s 40 Kingsbury Street Bulletin Wellesley, Massachusetts 02481 Bella T. Wong Bulletin #34 Superintendent of Schools May 27, 2011 The Superintendent’s Bulletin is posted weekly on Fridays on our website. It provides timely, relevant information about meetings, professional development opportunities, curriculum and program development, grant awards, and School Committee news. The bulletin is also the official vehicle for job postings. Please read the bulletin regularly and use it to inform colleagues of meetings and other school news., Dear Colleagues, I am very excited to share that at this weeks Wellesley Education Foundation Board meeting, the board approved additional funds critical to the expansion and continuation of the elementary tiered instruction and intervention work I reported on in last weeks Bulletin. With these funds, we will be able to build and improve upon our current models for providing this general education service. Again, many thanks to Becky and those of you who worked on our successful grade two pilot. We would not have been able to achieve this additional grant without the benefit of the positive data you helped generate. I am absolutely grateful to WEF leadership for hearing our presentation of this new information and responding to our request for support within an expedited time frame. This will allow us to implement changes in a timely fashion for the next school year. Thank you. Enjoy the long weekend everyone!.
