Faculty of Medicine University of Crete, Greece Since our first presentations in EuroPACS 2006 the Research PACS system evolved: Redesigned image viewing to support multiple views and independent image processing modules that the user can easily arrange on screen Minimized lossless image retrieval time even through the Internet using advanced streaming technology Improved networking capabilities including server to server synchronization Optimized for large data sets (multi-slice studies) and large number of examinations Tested the system as a regular RIS-PACS in two University Hospitals in Greece Catching Up
