Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh, is the fourth largest state in the Indian country. Hyderabad is the capital of Andhra
Pradesh and Telugu is the most broadly spoken language . Andhra Pradesh is a state crammed with
exciting culture and rich heritages. There are so many historical places over here like pilgrimages, Forts,
Museums etc.

Charminar: Charminar is a monument located in the City of Hyderabad which is the capital city of the
State of Andhra Pradesh in South India. The monument was built by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591
to honor the eradication of plague. Charminar is a beautiful and impressive square monument. Each side
measures 20 m, and each of the corners has a tall, pointed minaret. These four gracefully carved
minarets soar to a height of 48.7 m above the ground, imposing the landscape for miles around. Each
minaret has four stories, marked by a delicately carved ring around the minaret. Unlike the Taj Mahal,
Charminar's four fluted minarets of Charminar are built into the main structure. Inside the minarets 149
winding steps guide the visitor to the top floor, the highest point one can reach, which provides a
panoramic view of the city. Thus Charminar is considered to be one of the most stunning Monuments
among all the historical places India.

Warangal Fort: is also well-known for some delicate gateways that have become a icon of Andhra
Pradesh Tourism. The fort has 45 towers and pillars spread all over. The outstanding feature about the
main gateway comprises of the four gigantic pillars, which have been crafted out of a single rock.
Warangal Fort includes 3 rawports, among which 2 are of mud, as the 3rd and the internal most one is
built of stone. Inside the fort there are Sambhuni gudi, Venkatesswara temple, Keerthi Toranas and
Kushmahal. Even though most of the fort is ruined these days. But still Warangal fort is among the most
excellent attractions in Andhra Pradesh.

Golconda Fort: is one of the most amazing monuments, located 11 km. from Hyderabad, the capital of
Andhra Pradesh. The name of Golconda originates from the telgu words "Golla" and "Konda" which
means 'shepard's hill'. One of the most significant features of this fort is that the sounds of hands clapped
at the entry gate can be heard quite clearly at the top of the hill. The bulk of the ruins of this fort, date
from the time of the Qutub Shahi kings, who had ruled this area in the 16th and 17th century. The
fortress is built on a granite hill 120 metres high, surrounded by massive crenellated ramparts. So this fort
is deemed to be the historical places India.

Qutb Shahi Tombs: is Located about a kilometer north from Golconda Fort, the Qutub Shahi tombs
represent the most authentic and majestic display of the Qutub Shahi dynasty. The galleries of the
smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the centre of each tomb is a
sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below. The domes were originally overlaid
with blue and green tiles, of which only a few pieces now remain. This tombs are said to be the oldest
historical places India.

Bhongir fort: is similar to the other forts of the region as it has a moat that encircles the fort, a vast
underground chamber, trap doors, an armory, stables, ponds, wells etc. Bhongir is located only 50 kms
away from Hyderabad. The rock on which the fort is has a unique egg-shaped construction with two
entry points confined by huge rocks, so the fort was considered practically invincible by invading armies.
