Pupils at Schools in Sheffield discussing Science with renowned Scientist Professor Robert Winston, at the launch of the Science Learning Centre.
The National Coal Mining Museum can offer a range of Video Conferencing activities from a one off question and answer session with a real life Bevan Boy to an English debate or a follow up about a visit.
Video Conferencing can be used to have a debate between schools on a key issue.
A great way for interacting with pupils across the world. Pupils can discuss different cultures or languages.
Sometimes it is not practical to get a speaker to event so VC can be used for them to attend from anywhere in the world.
The MFL opportunities for VC are fantastic. Many schools in France now have VC equipment and are keen to practise language skills with a real life purpose. In this instance a french lesson is being delivered to two schools at once.
VC can add a dimension to traditional in role activities. With a few simple props and a willing volunteer pupils can interview characters or historical figures. Great for speaking and listening skills.
Pupils in a range of schools carrying out a VC lesson on drumming sharing the cost of a teacher and also adding an audience and purpose to any performance.
There are so many reasons why VC should be used in the classroom.
A new site for finding partners to VC with.
