  5. 5. “At our school we believe that children need to be emotionally ready to learn, that is feeling safe, happy and belonging within the school community and beyond. This is also true of staff, parents and other community members. Ubuntu means to belong, to have a shared responsibility for everyone in your community, to care, nurture and support those in your community and beyond.” “Coming out of the work with the school we have introduced the house system, and in terms of belonging it has been a fantastic move forward in developing an ethos in the school. It’s not a mini Hogwarts. It is about children feeling that they belong to more than just their year group. It gives them amazing exposure to older students doing the right thing, and gives those older students the opportunity to take on roles of responsibility, almost psudo family roles which are really good”Mr Phillips
  6. 6. Inspectors get it!“The school’s excellent promotion of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development for its pupils is seen in a wide range of settings.
