A customized bill is used for analysis with the following details. Bill Plan - Vodafone-299 Category Calls Messages GPRS (KB) • • • Frequency 168 236 2.083 GB Tool Used : MS Excel Preprocessing : Formatting of phone numbers in standard format Segregation of bill into calls, message and GPRS usage. Separated date/time cell into two different columns. Problems Encountered: Number of message sent is not matching with summarized bill. Actual GPRS usage is mismatched with billed usage.  STD call details are not mentioned.

Demographic Analysis Points to be noted: • Short call duration • Call mostly during lunch hours & evenings. • Data usage mostly in weekends •Gender : As per studies on “How long will she call me” conducted by Beijing university of posts & telecommunications on distribution, social theory & duration prediction, it was revealed that for short call durations most of the users are female.(sample size of 2.72 lakh users, 3.92 million call records) •Approximate Age : 25-30 years as the average call duration is 102 seconds(240/168). Study has revealed that average call duration for users between 25-30 years is 105 seconds. Also the data usage is more on weekdays. •Occupation : Working professional •Kind of Phone : Smartphone/Multimedia(3G enabled)
