ESSENTIAL SOUND BITES FOUR-YEAR ADVISING 1) President, Provost, and BoT have approved and are supportive. - See Imagine Carolina announcement 1/18/2023. 2) Transition will begin this Summer 2023 and proceed over the next two years - 8 of 11 colleges already in transition. More conversations to come. 3) This is an exciting time to be in Advising! - Advising is a national, local, and institutional priority. - Students/parents/faculty/administrators see importance of advising and want more investment. - The UAC will continue to do everything we can to support you!
  6. 6. Progress Reports and Alerts Three Things to Know: 1. Cases will begin rolling out mid-February 2. Goal = Cases closed within two weeks of advisors receiving them 3. OSP Inclusion – All T section courses will be invited to submit progress reports this spring Details in the Intervention Repository website.   8. 8. UAA Mentoring – For Mentors • UAAs who have been in their role for at least one year, have achieved Level 1 certification, and have completed Level 2 modules Who can be a mentor? (Eligibility) • One-year formal commitment • Meet with your mentee regularly, including individual meetings and shadowing • Be available for quick communication to answer questions and provide clarification/support What do we ask? (Commitment)
