Understanding our students • Regular surveys to understand our students and their concerns, including: – New entrants survey; – Second year survey; – Alumni survey • Wide range of student-staff committees and fora, including Student Senate • Focus groups of different groups of students, including most recently Muslim students
  5. 5. Communication and collaboration • Close working relationship with our Students’ Union to help understand and address student concerns • Regular dialogue with all student groups, including religious societies • Non-confrontational approach to issues around Prevent
  6. 6. Student support • Support for resident and non-resident students through our four Colleges • Flat Rep system, providing opportunities for feedback and improved communication • Programme Rep and Personal Tutor system, providing additional support for all students, including those off-campus
