DAFNI: Data and Analytics Facility for National Infrastructure launch event

6 July 2017

We’ve started a year-long consultation process to ensure that DAFNI’s capabilities can be applied to the management and development of infrastructure systems, so addressing the challenges our society is facing. We’ll be looking for feedback, comments and guidance to create a facility that will transform the way that infrastructure is delivered in the UK and globally. We will work with people, companies and partner organisations to find and drive the science and technology innovations that will enhance the UK economy.

  11. 11. Operation plan A sustainable long term business model will be put in place for operation, maintenance and upgrade of DAFNI from 2021 We foresee: • a growing programme of national (and indeed global) infrastructure systems research which makes use of DAFNI and • EPSRC ‘pump priming’ the DAFNI-accelerator project, which will yield early demonstrator projects and proposals • strong alignment with existing programmes e.g. ITRC- MISTRAL which is already migrating NISMOD to DAFNI • a growing number of users in industry and government.
