As the Site Lock Out Authority, I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Tudor Toropoc at
the Kitimat Modernization Project, since July of 2014.
He has demonstrated strong knowledge of power systems, ranging from high voltage
installations, distribution systems, automation and control.
As an Authorized Operator for the Bantrel Pre-Commissioning Team, he has put into
effect and maintained isolation permits, Hazardous Energy Control measures,
WorkSafe regulations and LOTO protocol. Given the complexity of the project, our
routine operations involved various multi energy sources, from standard PotMicro
cabinets, Superstructures, Compressors, Motor Control Centers to state of the art
Transmission Line Series Compensation station and Pot Tending Assembly cranes.
He has demonstrated excellent communication skills, in working with our field
employees, vendors and customers, in coherently explaining the purpose of isolation
and the energy state of equipment, during the dynamic Pre-Commissioning process, in
cross boundary active zones.
His ability to work in a fast paced environment, attention to detail, problem solving skills,
organized, disciplined and professional attitude, have been valuable qualities in carrying
out his duties with an excellent safety record.
