Best practices to follow during & after lockdown in the aftermath of COVID-19

1. Always wear a Triple Layer Face Mask or use a face cover whenever
you go out of your home
Wear dedicated plastic slippers for the market
Maintain a distance of minimum 6 feet from any person or
shopkeeper in the market
Don’t touch anything unnecessarily out of your home
Don’t touch your face when you are out of your home
Keep a small pack of hand sanitizer (containing 70% alcohol) with you
and always sanitize your hands if you feel you have touched anything
suspicious in the market
Try to keep away the material from your body when carrying from
market, It is better to have a plastic bucket with you when going to the
market, put the material in bucket and carry it to your home
Go to market only when it is urgent, try to go once or at max twice a
week only
Note: You do not need to wear a facemask at your home unless you
have Influenza like Illness (ILI)

2. Try to make digital payments using Paytm, Bhim
App, PhonePe, UPI or your Bank App
Do not take paper currency from any shopkeeper
because it may carry the virus
If you give paper currency notes to the
shopkeeper, then prefer purchasing the goods
equivalent to the whole amount and don’t take the
money back
If in any circumstances, you take paper currency
from the market, then keep it in your hand until
your home and disinfect it using the cloth iron. Iron
the currency on both the sides. Person who has
visited the market is advised to not touch the iron,
he / she should put the currency note on the
surface and the other family member will iron

Payment in
the Market
It is better to use staircase instead of public lift in
the current scenario
Don’t touch the staircase railings with your hands
If it is required to use the lift, then keep some paper
pieces in your pocket and touch the push buttons
with your finger covered with paper or if you
cannot carry paper, then sanitize your hands
immediately after pressing the lift buttons
Remove and throw the paper in the waste bin
immediately when you come out the lift without
touching it from outside
Maintain minimum 6 feet distance from others in
lift, it is better to use it individually

3. Do not touch the door or door bell, call the house
member(s) to open the door before you enter
Put the material at a dedicated place near the door
like a table or a box
Go to washroom and wash your hands and face with
soap for at least 20 seconds or prefer taking a shower
Put off your cloths and dip those in detergent solution
and bath with soap (you can skip this step if you feel
that you have not visited a crowded area)

Mechanic visits your home, then make sure he /
she does not have fever, you can check it with an
infrared thermometer
Ask him / her to sanitize his / her hands with
sanitizer or soap and water

related items / equipments

Electrician / Mechanic has touched with soap

Kitchenware’s should be cleaned
using soap and lukewarm water

and Fruits
Soak the vegetables and fruits in Salt water for
couple of minutes and then wash them with tap
water / lukewarm water OR use Veggie Clean
(Marico) that is available in the market. Veggie
Clean solution does not contain any harmful
preservative, is soap-free, chlorine-free and
alcohol-free
Clean with tap water / lukewarm water
