The Relation Between Technology and EducationTechnology has changed completely our livesand made it easier.Let’s see two examples in our houses: - The vacuum cleaner was invented withthe purpose of replacing brooms and mops. - The dishwasher was invented with thepurpose of replacing the sinks full of dirtyplates or glasses. 5

Hesays that technological developments, onceunder way, are unstoppable: their progress isinevitable, unavoidable and irreversible.In my opinion, technology only triumphs when itis useful and society takes it under its wing. 13

The Relation Between Technology and EducationNowadays, the hard work of teachers must befocus on two items: - The incorporation of technology ineducation, not as an imposition but as anopportunity. - The design of a Manual of GoodPractices (our generation has been taught intechnology but nowadays students must be taught ingood uses of technology). 17
