Following losses were confirmed in Louisiana and nearby areas:www.trinityclaims.com Catastrophe modeling firm AIR Worldwide estimates that insured lossesfrom Hurricane Isaac to onshore properties in the U.S. will be between$700 million and $2 billion. AIR estimates include wind and storm surge damage to onshoreresidential, commercial and industrial properties and their contents,automobiles, and living expenses for residential properties and businessinterruption for commercial properties. The storm left more than 800,000 without power in Louisiana,Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas , power companies told CNN. "Heat index values will continue to range in the 100- to 105-degree range-- possibly higher in some locations -- and (will) continue to have agreater impact on people who still do not have power," the NationalWeather Service said. According to Insurance Journal, State Farm Insurance Cos., the largestinsurer in Louisiana and Mississippi, said it had received 4,266homeowners’ insurance claims in the two states — 3,805 in Louisianaand 461 in Mississippi.
