  2. 2. Starbucks' Corporate Responsibility I introduce Starbucks' Corporate Responsibility through its the website. Then I will decipher about the approach and initiatives of Starbucks' social responsibility approach. When you open the page of Responsibility from the WEB site of Starbucks, you can know how to work on social responsibility of Starbucks.
  3. 3. Starbucks' Corporate Responsibility “One person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time.” This is the mind of Starbucks against Social Responsibility. It believed that it should have a positive impact on the communities, so too has its commitment to corporate citizenship. It is aimed to be innovators, leaders and contributors to a society and a healthy environment so that society can thrive.

It also invests in farming communities to develop responsible growing methods, and to ensure a sustainable supply of these crops.

It is also committed to a long-term strategy of ethical tea sourcing. Further it manage supply chain of cocoa by independent verifiers's inspections. Furthermore it is committed to responsibility of manufactured goods found in Starbucks.

It reduce its operating costs and increase shareholder value through energy and water efficiency, then encourage and work with others to share the commitment to the environment. For example, it produce napkin from cup through the Cup Recycling.
  11. 11. Enviroment Starbucks is trying to reduce the environmental footprint of its operations. Building Greener Stores are conserving the energy and water and purchasing renewable energy credits. It provide recycling in the stores and ensure the recyclability of our cups by the recycling and reducing waste. Further it is constantly looking to innovate and collaborate with likeminded organizations to reduce the cup and the packaging waste. Furthermore it help farmers mitigate the impact of climate change on their farms since 2004.
  12. 12. Global Responsibility Report Starbucks is committed to being a good corporate citizen. It has been publicly reporting its goals and performance in the area of corporate social responsibility since 2001. Its annual Global Responsibility report reflect the impact it has made over the past year. However, it is an opportunity to be more intentional and focused about what it can do in the future more than reporting on past progress.

In 2012, Starbucks opened our third community store in Houston, Texas. Youth Leadership Grants program reaches more than 50,000 young people each year, creating innovative and positive solutions to local needs while empowering young people.
