They often feature scenes that startle the viewer through the means of macabre and the supernatural thus frequently overlapping with the fantasy and science fiction genres. Horrors also frequently overlap with the thriller genre.<br />

The film was released in North America on January 4, 2008 and was directed by Eric Valette and written by Andrew Klavan. The film stars Edward Burns and ShannynSossamon. It was produced and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures<br />
  3. 3. Scream <br />Scream is a series of American horror slasher films created by Kevin Williamson and Wes Craven. The films star Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette. The series has grossed over $600 million in worldwide box-office receipts and consists, to date, of four motion pictures. The first series entry Scream was released on December 20, 1996 and is currently the highest grossing slasher film in the United States.<br />
  4. 4. Scary Movie<br />Scary Movie is a 2000 comedy-parody film directed by Keenen Ivory Wayans, as part of Wayans Bros. Entertainment. It is an American dark comedy which heavily parodies the horror, slasher, and mystery genres. Several mid- and late-90s films and TV shows are spoofed, most predominantly Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer, along with The Sixth Sense, The Usual Suspects, The Matrix, The Blair Witch Project, and Dawson's Creek.<br />
  5. 5. Mirrors <br />Mirrors is a 2008 horror directed by Alexander Aja, and stars KeiferSutherland.The film was first titled Into the Mirror, but the name was later changed to Mirrors. Filming began on May 1, 2007, and it was released in American theaters on August 15, 2008.<br />
