• How can we make biking, walking,

What should I wear? It’s hot
out but if I show more skin I’ll
get more comments.
What time of
day is it?
Will the space be
well lit? Will others
be out?

Study commissioned by SSH. Difference was largely between LGBT and heterosexual men. Barely a difference with women.
Comes from a place of feeling entitled to someone else’s body or at least time. Leads to feeling of lack of agency, removal of choice
Just the reported assaults.

Just the reported assaults. How public is public space if some people in that space feel entitled to the bodies and the time of others in the space? How public is public space if many people in that space have to plan ahead to feel safe entering that space?

Most importantly: choose not to harass.
Let’s make cycling and walking something we all feel safe doing.
