shake or vibrate or you heard a loud
pop, you’re more than likely
experiencing a flat tire. The first thing
you should do is pull off of the road

and off to the side, you should turn on
your hazard lights to alert other drivers that your vehicle is disabled.
5. When your car is safely off the road and your hazard lights are on, remove the
tire-changing tools that our Charlotte auto service techs helped you collect, from
your trunk.
Step 1: Using the lug nut wrench, loosen the lug nuts on the wheel. Do not
remove them completely. Place the jack underneath your car, after consulting the
owner’s manual where the jack should be positioned.
Step 2: Jack the car up off of the ground about six or seven inches. Once your
vehicle is jacked up and secure, completely remove the lug nuts from the wheel.
Don’t let them get away from you! Keep them close by because they will be
needed again.
Step 3: Pull the wheel off, keeping it straight. Place the wheel with the flat tire in
the trunk. Replace the flat tire with the spare tire, putting it on straight.
Step 4: Put the lug nuts back on TIGHTLY! Ensure they are on tight using the lug
nut wrench.
Step 5: Lower the car back to the ground. Put the jack and wrench back into the
trunk.
