1. 1. 4
Here’s Partof the slide show, where I trade the vanity for theART PRINTS!
2. 2. MY
SECONDTRADE…
3. 3. One
mid-century vanity
4. 4. plus
5. 5. Jeremy Roberts, a new friend with some family heirlooms
6. 6. equals
7. 7. A stack of Larry Dyke landscape ART PRINTS!
8. 8. So here’s the story
9. 9. In the months after I traded R2D2 for the vanity, lots of offers came in.
10. 10. But nothing I thought was really super duper
up-trade-able.
11. 11. So I re-posted my craigslist ad, and
Jeremy Roberts
responded.
12. 12. He had inherited
a bunch of lithographs
from his grandmother,
13. 13. and he was ready to thinout his collection.
14. 14. I accepted the offer right away.
15. 15. I went for a visit and delivered the vanity.
16. 16. Jeremy started showing me the lithographs.
17. 17. See the vanity in its
new home?
18. 18. He explained how, in the 1980s and 1990s, his grandparents
19. 19. started collecting limited edition lithographs of paintings by
Larry Dyke,
20. 20. a renowned
landscape painter from Texas.
21. 21. His grandmother kept her favorites and passed the rest down to Jeremy.
22. 22. He kept HISfavorites, and decided to part with the bulkof the collection.
23. 23. See, they were taking up a lot of room.
24. 24. Being the NICE GUY that he is,
Jeremy generously offered EIGHT
prints for the vanity.
25. 25. As we started looking through them,
HE THREW IN SOME
EXTRAPRINTS
Just to help me out,
26. 26. For a total of
FOURTEEN
27. 27. Awesome.
28. 28. Thank you, Jeremy.
29. 29. Now check out all the prints.
30. 30. These are all
(except for the three-print Collector’s Suite)
Signed, Numbered, Limited Edition Artist’s Proofs
31. 31. Back when Lithographs were the preferred format for producing
fine art prints
(unlike inkjet prints these days, often called “giclees”),
32. 32. an artist would
Sign and Number
a chosen few prints, which would be
“held back” in a
Limited Edition.
33. 33. An Artist’s Proof was created before the printing of the Limited Edition prints, to make sure they conformed to the highest quality standards.
34. 34. At that time, the artist could, if he or she so desired, have the printer run an even more Limited Edition of Artist’s Proofs,
35. 35. which would be signed and numbered, with the letters “AP” added, to indicate their status.
Number 9 of 52 Artist’s Proofs
36. 36. The descriptions for all these prints are on my blog. It’ll be much easier to read them there than to scroll through a long slideshow.
37. 37. First, I’ll show you the non-numbered, non-Artist’s Proof lithographs, which are still very nice.
38. 38. These three prints are “merely” limited edition miniature lithographs, packaged in a collector’s set. They’re signed, but not numbered, and are out of an edition of 1,800.
39. 39.
 40. 40.
 41. 41.
 42. 42.

 59. 59. I prefer trading these prints as a group, all together, for one item, but I’ll consider separating them out.
60. 60. WHAT
will I be trading NEXT?!
You tell me.
Make me an offer.
61. 61. The facebook posts are posting.
