– SmartConnect™ provides a pipeline architecture for
transforming an export from another environment to a
SmartCore™ structure
– Tasks performed by the pipeline:
• Reading in the export
• Filtering out unnecessary and/or unwanted elements
• Mapping and transforming the source structure to the target
structure
• Importing the elements as wiki pages
– Each step in the pipeline can be tailored towards customer
requirements

– a.k.a. Reference Enterprise Architecture for Dutch municipalities
– Association of Dutch Municipalities
• Used by 392 Dutch municipalities (100% coverage)
• GEMMA is maintained in an Enterprise Architecture tool (first ARIS, now
BiZZdesign)
• GEMMA is published in ArchiMedes on the WikiXL (SMW) platform
– and is called GEMMA Online
• GEMMA also facilitates the GEMMA Software catalogue for municipalities
