Lab 6 steps

  1. 1. Lab 6 Steps: <br /><ul><li>Add wheat germ to the test tube.
  2. 2. Measure 3.0 ml of NaCl solution from the graduated cylinder and add it into the Test Tube 1.
  3. 3. Place cheesecloth on test tube two.
  4. 4. Pour in NaCl and wheat germ (from test tube 1)
  5. 5. From the lab: the big wheat germ did not filtrate with the other substances so it stayed in test tube 1
  6. 6. Measure 3.0 mL of Dawn Detergent to the filtrated mixture.
  7. 7. Drip ethanol solution into the test tube.
  8. 8. Put the test tube at a 45 degree angle
  9. 9. Drip in the Ethanol Solution until an interface forms
  10. 10. At the interface, a white material forms.
  11. 11. This material is DNA.
  12. 12. Peer Review
  13. 13. Clean Up and Dispose
  14. 14. Wipe Table
  15. 15. Remove Goggles</li></ul>(Personally, I did not include steps 7-10 b/c it didn’t make any sense to.)<br />Reference section is also necessary to include. ( I didn’t really know how to do this but u could try with the pocket manual). <br />~Has to be a page length (ref + methods)<br />~Bolded titles, spacing (single for ref), and vocabulary usage.<br />
