President of New Generation circle. We organized and ran the Cookiefest fund raiser with the
downtown Macy’s store every December. I organized and catered wine tasting fund raisers
earning from $3000- $80,000 as the event grew. I organized and catered the mother daughter
luncheons focusing on the impacts of SMF on the community bringing education and childcare
grants to those in need. As president, I formed a group of my peers creating the youngest
group by 20 years for SMF. I was able to bring energy, ideas and new fundraisers to fruition for
SMF’s success.
Sunset Elementary PTA President
September 2003-December 2005
Created and organized an auction of art and items showcasing the benefits of the artist in
residence program. The event fully supported the program for the school.
Klahaya Swim and Tennis Club
2007 - 2013
I ran a successful concessions event 4-5 times each summer feeding salmon ceasar salads and
other grilled items to 400+ people. I was in charge of the volunteers, ordering, set up and
clean up. I successfully delegated to create a smooth event each time.
I was the club president for three years. I oversaw the Board, dealt with the 246 family
memberships, created publicity events like the club participation in the Edmonds 4th
of July
Parade. I ran the annual meetings and got sponsors for events around the club
Shorewood High School Booster club
2009-Present
Procurement chair for the annual auction that funds all sports, clubs and activities at the
high school. I procure $40-$70000 worth of items for each auction. This last spring we
made over $110,000 for the school. I
As President, I help organize the events, represent the club to the community as well as to
different parent groups. I speak to the student and parent population, I organize the
auction with a partner from the ground up – securing location, permits, vendors,
invitations, logos, speaking to the different teams and clubs about procurement and
encouraging participation with ideas and leads, planning the staging of the event, the 9
month planning timeline down to day of event time line creating an efficient work
environment for the volunteers to shine at what they do best.
