This company has which has classified cinema films since it was set up in 1912 and videos/ DVDs since the Video Recordings Act was passed in 1984.• Bbfc are responsible for the rating of films which you normally see in either the film or a little symbol on the dvd case.• The bbfc uses strict guidelines to rate films which makes perfect viewing for all ages as if they didn’t young children could purchase something which is totally un aimed at them as a target audience which they mind offending either language, racially, sexually or in any other fashion which would not be acceptable for a young person to view.• Additionally they can also give a rating to some video games as they might include violence, bad language, disturbing images or anything which needs to be monitored.
  2. 2. What’s the point of them being around?• The whole point of the bbfc being around is to ensure that everyone is happy and comfortable with the film they are watching. Certain types of films are made for certain age groups or types of person, for instance;• If somebody had a bad heart and the film contained a lot of jumpy moments it would probably be best to advise someone that the film has a higher rating of age due to the scary nature of the film, the age rating is an indication of how adult or child like the film is.
