Sustainable Energy Solutions INKA - Vision EnergyVaasa INKA is the leading energy technology center in Europe in 2030 The Finnish energy technology innovation center is based on the export industry driven by the EnergyVaasa ecosystem. KEY BUSINESS AREAS Smart Power Generation • • • • • • Offshore wind will grow globally by 29% annually Renewable energy production will require adjustable gas power plants The cleantech business in ferries, power plants and mining sector will increase Gas will be used more in transportation and power generation A number of LNG –harbors and ferries will be built in the near future Sulfur directive will create new business opportunities for environmental investments The Wärtsilä 50DF medium-speed engine can be run either on natural gas or on light fuel oil (LFO) or on heavy fuel oil (HFO). The engine can smoothly switch between fuels during engine operation and is designed to give the same output regardless of the fuel.
