Who are we? 4 members of the Joomla User Group Sydney got together to have some fun and make something useful You may know Tim as the author of Learning Joomla! 3 Extension Development (Packt Publishing), Peter from the Joomla Beat Podcast, Hardy as a Joomla! Community Magazine contributor, and Richard from Build a Joomla Website online training.
  2. 2. What did we make? We created an extension called User Enhancement Manager (UE Man).
  3. 3. User Expiry Date Useful if you need to give temporary access to your site to third party, so you don’t need to remember to disable their account, just set and forget.
  4. 4. Custom User Fields Add your own custom fields to Joomla user registration form and user profile. An easy alternative to coding your own user profile plugin.
  5. 5. Author Profiles Author profiles for blogs and magazine type sites. Users can maintain their own data via their Joomla User Profile.
  6. 6. Auto user cleanup Get rid of inactive Joomla user accounts that are junking up your system. A great way to combat spammers.
  7. 7. Public User Profiles Allow Joomla users to share information from their Joomla user profile with others. Also applies to custom fields. All controlled via ACL so you can manage who sees what.
  8. 8. User Logs See who is logging in and out of your Joomla site, and which country their IP is from.
