  1. 1. 312 Signal Rd. Newport Beach, CA 92663 (248) 622-0789 Email: tiara.tatarczuk@gmail.comTo Whom It May Concern:“Architecture, of all the arts, is the one which acts the most slowly, but the most surely, on thesoul” ~Ernest Dimnet Perhaps not always recognized, the beauty of what is contained is enhanced by theintentional design of the container itself. As a recent graduate from the University ofMichigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture, this is my passion, and I amready to use my degree to better my surrounding communities, both local and abroad. Acareer should be about learning what you enjoy and finding a way to excel at it, and I ammore than ready for success. Architecture is more than just a structure that serves any number of monotonouspurposes. It is the design of a building that will influence those who enter it because of theexperience they have while inside. Architecture is my passion and I’m ready to put myknowledge to work. While working for Labtop Rendering I learned how to manage my time in afast paced environment, ask questions when I was unfamiliar with a particular process, andproduce a high quality product to the standards of major clients such as BIG and SOM. Myeducation has given me the ability to perform and teach drafting, 2D and 3D AutoCAD, as wellas use other programs such as Rhino, VectorWorks, Illustrator, and InDesign. I am a highlyefficient, motivated and positive team player, and insist on a high quality product. I have been adedicated and value-added employee in each position I have pursued and look forward to newchallenges. I welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications and learn more about your hiringplans. My skills in designing, conserving, and implementing initiatives would be a great assetto your company’s strategic goals. Please contact me at your earliest convenience at(248) 622-0789 or by e-mail at: tiara.tatarczuk@gmail.com.Sincerely,Tiara E. Tatarczuk

We were Attempt to creategiven the site of the courtyard pattern and rhythm.which provided an abundanceof natural light. As a result thedecided upon material wasplastic sheeting . The focus thistime was influencing the actionof movement through a space.Analyzing the effect of opacityverse transparency from theprevious study lead to provethat light invited view especiallywhen highlighted by opacity. Therefore flow can be influencedby light, which in turn allows forcontrolled views. Can a wall bea floor at the same time? Can itdouble as a moment of rest forsitting or laying? Step one inthis studio was to study the ideaof defining a wall using what-ever methods we could to argueour point. Eventually, gastronomy gets introducedinto the project, we study urbanorganic farming, and the overall Space Studygoal is to design a vertical farm. Wall StudyThe first thought was to studythe vertical. A wall can be afloor to ceiling wall at one levelbut when elevation changesand the wall stays stationarythe function of the wall hasrange. A wall can be definedby its thickness in the vertical, but what about the horizontal? So naturally my partner and Iincorporate a curve. Elevation Chart

Solid Axon 1 Study ModelMy partner and I made adesign decision to utilize thecurved wall, elevationalchanges, and horizontal thick-ness to our advantage in akitchen setting. By raising the Seatingfloor height of the dining spaceand allowing for a thin slatted Seatingdivider between the diners andthe cooking space smells couldbe more readily available. Organic and non-organicfood is grown or transported infrom surrounding areas and solddirectly to services such as localrestaurants. The final task was tocompile each space study, andgiven a site in Chicago, design astructure that would work fromthe ground up growing, selling, distributing, and servicing thefood in one central hub. Living Culinary Restaurant Education Hotel Market/Pop-Up Site Plan Final DesignFarmers Markets took placebelow ground level with andopen front to the public. Growingspaces spanned from belowground level, climbing vertically, inside and out, toward the sky.Culinary displays were pushed tothe street for entertainment andeducation, while all the foodcould be bought and distributedto the hotel and residentialspaces at the top of the structure. The initial idea is toresearch 2 North Americanhousing types. Investigatingtheir form, inhabitation, andassembly it is possible to createa new typology by morphingthe characteristics together. Theend result will be denisfying thismorphology to fit the urbansetting of San Antonio, Tx. Plan Front Elevation Axon Type StudyThe plantation house and thecourtyard house, both uniquelybeautiful, are polar opposites Housing Type 2:of one another. For example, in Courtyard Housethe plantation the focus isoutward, allowing for approachfrom any direction while thecourtyard house has an inwardfocus with one linear approachdown the central axis.
