Kingdom Of God

 1. 1. Kingdom of God
2. 2. Mark Chapter 10
15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." 16And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
3. 3.
 4. 4. Why did Jesus say that?
5. 5.
 6. 6. A child
A Childs mind is unpolluted with worldly temptations, sinful thoughts and sinful ways
A child is pure in heart until the world gets to him and starts to corrupt him
His love for his parents is absolute!
His level of Faith in his parents is absolute!
7. 7. A child's Faith
Lets take a child
From birth he comes in to contact with his parents on whom he becomes DEPENDANT for all his needs
He realizes that his needs will be PROVIDED by them
He realizes that he could depend on them for SECURITY
He learns to have absolute TRUST in his parents
He develops LOVE and looks up to them for COMFORT and CARE
This develops absolute FAITH that no matter what happens his parents are there for him
8. 8.
 9. 9. Because of the FAITH he feels secure and contended
For Eg. If a child is thrown up in the air by the Father he laughs with joy and enjoys the moment . He has no fear…just absolute Faith…
Because he believes that his father will hold him and not let any harm come to him
Similarly as children when we were thought by our parents of some fact we did not question…we believed it absolutely
For Eg. Santa Clause… we all believed that on 25th Night Santa came and left us presents
Until the world got to us. Friends telling us that there is no Santa…and growing up to an age where we figure it out that it was our parents who were keeping those presents each year…
10. 10. Mark Chapter 10
15I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.“
We have to receive the Kingdom of God like a little child. Without letting the worldly things get to us where we start to question…disbelieve… believe in man made concepts and ideas that go against the message of Gods Kingdom brought to us by Jesus.
We start to falter in our absolute belief and it starts to erode. Slowly but surely. Some of us indulge in these man made ideas so much that we even arrive at conclusions of NON Belief of Gods very existence…
11. 11. How do we receive Gods Kingdom
We have already received the way to Gods Kingdom
Jesus brought us this message. It is found all over the New Testament.
But the problem is we don’t read and follow this important message.
We let worldly man made concepts distort this vital information
We therefore loose its purity…its intension of providing us a path to achieve
Gods Kingdom.
Jesus wants all of us to get there…each one of us to be there with HIM!
12. 12. How do we receive this message
The purpose of Jesus coming was to bring us this message
To give us salvation and provide us a way to achieve Gods Kingdom
His love for us knows no bounds. He sacrificed Himself and took all
worldly sin upon him.
By believing in Him we are able redeem our sins and
Obtain a Fresh Start on our Journey to Reach His Kingdom
13. 13. How do we reach Gods Kingdom
There is a word of advice from Jesus found in Matthew Chapter 7 in Verse 19…
19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20BUT STORE UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
Jesus ends up by saying…
21FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO.
14. 14. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
If all your Money is deposited in a particular Bank. This will say is your Treasure. You keep depositing your money in this account. It grows and grows… Your mind is there…
How much do I have?
How much have I deposited today?
Is everything Ok with the Bank?
How much interest have I collected?
Your mind is there because you consider your treasure is important for you ...
Jesus is showing us a higher calling
He is telling us to set our mind to amass treasure is heaven
Not here on earth. Our treasures on earth can disappear. Robbed ..plundered… destroyed…taken away…overnight!
We saw what happened recently with the world recession.
Multi Billionaires were reduced to paupers almost overnight!
People lost all their treasure here on earth!
15. 15. 21For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Jesus is telling us to set our mind to amass treasure is heaven.
Like setting our minds to our treasure on earth which is nothing compared to
Our account in heaven
Do we ask our selves how good is my account in heaven?
What did I deposit today in my account in heaven?
Did I do something wrong today that will reduce my account standing in heaven?
Does our mind dwell on this at all?!
We are caught up in our worldly treasures…
16. 16. We forget that our entire lifetime is nothing but a moment in ETERNITY…
17. 17. We have checked in to a Hotel that we have to eventually checkout…
The Gospel brought to us by Jesus gives us the way to ensure that the next Hotel we check into would be the Kingdom of God.
18. 18. Matthew 13 Verse 43Then THE RIGHTEOUS will shine like the sun in the KINGDOM OF THEIR FATHER. He who has ears, let him hear.
19. 19. Thank you
