Tim Ferriss Sucks! Solutions To Common Issues With The 4-Hour Work Week (Plus: Free Help)

  1. 1. 01 Tim Ferriss SUCKS! Solutions to common issues with the 4-Hour Work Week
  2. 2. “ Tim Ferriss Sucks!”Something I hear from people, of whom more often than nothave never read one of Tims books, blog posts or really spentany time researching, testing or applying his content, sadly. Why is that?In my honest opinion, its a simple answer. Most people wouldrather make a judgement about someone, an assumptionabout their work than take the time and energy to check outthem out. Sadly for Tim he is no exception to this rule. But, its not all bad news because there are lots (0000s) ofraving fans like me that exist...
  3. 3. “ Tim Ferriss Sucks!” (Contd)Another reason why so many fall into the trap of criticising Timis it acts as a great excuse, or story why they are not living thelifestyle they dream of.Now, while I dont agree with all of Tims content per se. Ivebeen following him for 18 months + and even made a trip toNew York just to hang out with the guy. He checks out.Ive put this presentation together for anyone relatively orcompletely new to the 4-hour work week to expose some of theissues you might face and how to overcome them; specificallyin regards to muse creation. And at the end of this presentation I want to give you theopportunity to express some of your issues with The 4-HourWork Week. Lets get started!
  4. 4. “ I cant find a muse” You are not alone – the majority readers find this an issue, most will give up (as I am sure Tim would tell you) with a few number sticking at it. In my experience, these are best solutions you are likely to find. Solutions & Actions • Joint Venture: Find an expert/ someone with an excellence but little - no interest in marketing, this is where you come in. • Having fun: Pick an awesome experience, go and do it, turn it into a product. • Scratch-your-own-itch: Focus on what your daily frustrations are, brainstorm solutions, turn this into a product.
  5. 5. A Test is A Test is A Test Using Tims philosophy of testing, (for the most part I agree with) you want to conduct simple market testing before deploying your product. You want the confidence that tells you there is demand for your product and ultimately is sales to be made.Solutions & Actions• Sending paid traffic (e.g. Adwords) is still by most online marketers considered the quickest way to test an offer.• Sending an list of email subscribers (yours or anothers) to your product site.• Offline testing: running an event on the topic of your product where at the end you pitch the product, the sales you make indicate market demand.
  6. 6. Manufacture this! While digital products are always more appealing, there arealways some who will look at physical products with a little moreallure, and why not? The issue comes when the trying to realisethose dreams.Solutions & Actions• When you look at some of the best selling physical product muses these have often been produced in conjunction with an Allibaba retailer.• My preferred and suggested route (I cant speak for Allibaba) is Limeshore Solutions for all physical products. Google them.
  7. 7. Shocking Websites This is less talked about than most issues, but that doesnt make it any less important. Spend time on the forum and see what muse based websites people are launching, while the products may be great as for the websites its bad news. Sorry folks!Solutions & Actions• Spend several years learning HTML, PHP, JQuery, etc. At the end you have a skill set and website. Con: Incredibly time consuming.• Use a template based solution e.g. Weebly. Pro: Fast, cheap, your in control. Con: Ugly, outdated, limited features.• Preferred solution: LaunchBrain.com the worlds first fully integrated online suit of business building tools. Great news for muse creation.
  8. 8. And now it is your turn...Youve heard the frustrations of others and now its time to let youvent your frustration. Here is what I want you to do, click the link below that takes you toa survey for you to fill out. It has four questions and will take you nolonger than 2 minutes. http://bit.ly/4HourHelpIm then going to take this anonymous information and share itwith a elite group of musers and pass their answers on to you. So,go ahead and leave my your questions below. http://bit.ly/4HourHelp
