You read that right. Sales opportunities aren’t just for the sales team. From customer service representatives and C-Suite executives to company drivers and account managers, the chance to get more leads is open to your entire company. Companies that adopt a sales culture increase sales simply by putting salespeople in front of people and opportunities they didn’t know existed.

Pass the Ball to Get More Leads

  1. 1. Turn everyone into a salesperson.
  2. 2. You have an entire organization full of able employees. Don’t just focus on the sales team. You could be missing huge sales opportunities if you’re not tapping in to the talent of the rest of your employees.
  3. 3. Not using your entire organization means you’re not doing everything you can to get a leg up on the competition. You employees have connections beyond the office. Let them on the field! Encourage them to learn your products and services and market them to friends and family through social media, word of mouth, etc.
  4. 4. Having the extra help and support will boost sales members’ motivation. Every employee from sales, to marketing, to accounting has a role and has the ability to make an impact on the prospect saying yes or no. Make sure your teams know their part and this will create a more cohesive sales culture bound to bring in more leads.
  5. 5. You’re the leader. You have to make the plays. Make sure there is a goal or mission for your employees to follow and that every member is working towards that same goal. You can’t score a touchdown if every employee is running in a different direction.
  6. 6. Think about the players outside of your in-house team. Who else can create sales opportunities? Distributors make putting your products in front of the right customers easier and more cost- effective. Train them on how to sell your products and incentivize them for each successful sale.
  7. 7. Your employees may not know how they can help in the sales process. Explain their role. Educate them on their importance in the process and on your products and services. Incentivize them. They have never played on the team before and might need a little motivation.
  8. 8. With the proper training and motivation, your entire organization can be scoring touchdowns in no time! 2299 Perimeter Park Drive, #150 Atlanta, GA 30341
