  4. 4. Defining Talent Management The term “Talent Management” was first introduced by Mc Kinsey consultants in the late 1990’s, it’s purpose is to allocate talented workforce to realize strategic goals set by an organization
  5. 5. Our Core & strategic goal Structuring and Enhancing research skills in our educational curriculums and work environment via in house training and in collaboration with the external including the academia
  6. 6. Mission Talent Management has not been only a process towards discovering already exciting talents but also it means building up talents and this process of building up talents is the most crucial operation.
  7. 7. What is Talent ? It is the sum of a person’s abilities, skills , knowledge, attitude, character, intrinsic aptitudes, his/her intellect and more importantly the ability to develop their talents
  8. 8. Identifying Talent What are the characteristics of a Talented individual? Talented individuals perform tasks in a manner that exceed expectations, they posses qualities such as persistence, willingness to work hard for what they want, high competence, creativity, the aptitude to set and realize goals and plans, they are motivated, and ambitious. They are natural leaders and have charismatic allure.

The Directorate of Human Resources of Sharjah Government possesses a database of Jobseekers and available occupations across the Emirate of Sharjah, which enables the predictions and anticipation of skills that are required for the future as well as majors that are in demand or are satiating the job market. Analysis of Future skills required
  11. 11. The Directorate of Human Resources has strategic partnerships with educational institutions and the Government and Private Sector in the Emirate of Sharjah. Through this partnership DHR is able to identify candidates that display the following traits: • Leadership • Professionalism • Show prominence in his/her major or area of expertise. Training & Development Candidates are then nominated for training programs provided by the DHR free of charge, these training programs further develop their talents, and enable them to acquire new skills and knowledge. University Students are offered two training programs that are created specifically for the needs of their college life, and to help start up their career. These training programs are : • Applied Research Program • Binaa
  13. 13. Motivatio n & Retention Talented individuals in their area of expertise (employees) or major ( students) are acknowledged and awarded on their achievements.

  15. 15. Strategic Alliance DIRECTORATE OF HUMAN RESOURCES HIGHER COLLEGES OF TECHNOLOGY MINISTRY OF HIGHER EDUCATION & SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
  16. 16. ARP focuses on qualified students, selected, and then to be trained by experts, in conducting research, either in the Directorate, or, in the Academia
  17. 17. The philosophy here is to build up further skills on talented students dealing with them as a structure
  18. 18. Building up research skills is the core of processing Talent Management
  19. 19. And that research skills is being built upon developing the analytical skill
