In this context, sharing global and local M&E knowledge and experiences are essential to strength local M&E capacity, foster accountability for results, promote evidence-based decision making, and learn from results.   6. 6. 6 Multilateral institutions, international and regional donors, VOPEs, M&E associations, foundations, companies and impact investors can leverage their networks and channels to promote this initiative. Promote gLOCAL Evaluation Week Become a gLOCAL Champion! gLOCAL Evaluation Week What is Expected Serve as an event champion, promoting glOCAL Evaluation Week through your channels and networks. Key Tasks • Promote the Call for Proposals (open until until May 10) • Promote gLOCAL Evaluation Week Calendar of Events (Starting May 15) • Optional: Organize one or more events Cost Tasks will require an investment of staff time.
  7. 7. 7 Organize an Event gLOCAL Evaluation Week Public, private, and academic institutions, organizations, associations, firms, and other entities that produce, use, or promote evaluations to strengthen development programs are invited to submit a proposal to host one or more events. What is Expected Organize one or more events between June 3 and 7, 2019 Key Tasks • Submit an event proposal by May 10 • Upon acceptance of your proposal, promote gLOCAL Evaluation Week and your event(s) • Host event(s) • Submit event(s) summary and photos Cost Your organization will bear all direct costs associated with your event(s). Become a gLOCAL Champion! What topics can events address? Events may cover topics related to monitoring and evaluation practices, capacities, and results– or another topic related to M&E. What types of events can be organized? Presentations, panel discussions, roundtable discussions, skill-building workshops….and more.
