START OFF SMALL
Many people make the mistake of making
their goals too big to achieve.
Although cutting of junk food or going to
bed early may sound easy to accomplish,
it’s may be very difficult to keep up with.
It's better to make small goals to work
towards the bigger goals.
By setting small goals, it’s easier and more
likely to accomplish them. This small feeling
of accomplishment is what will keep you on
track and lead to bigger accomplishments.
Even when a small goal or baby-step is
missed, there is little to no sense of failure
and you are more inclined to keep going. To
stay in the right direction and to continue
moving forward, relish in the small
accomplishments that you make and realize
that a sense of failure should not be holding
you back from your goals.
The goals you set should challenge for self and
help you grow. It’s important to sit down and
really think about what you goals mean to you
and how your resolution will affect your mental
health and self being.
When setting a meaningful goal, imagine what
positive future this will lead to. This goal
should be motivating and take time to
accomplish. If there is no sense of meaning,
then it’s an empty goal that will most likely not
